Reply by NomadicEndymion on June 18, 2012Way to come down on someone for having an opinion, o guarders of the review space. What is ANNOYING is that MicroSoftness would release a plugin that actually works on less browsers and automatically prompts for installs on systems on which it's not supported.

Silverlight does not work with older Mac computers that use a PowerPC processer but it does work just fine in Safari on newer Macs with the current operating system. If you've installed Silverlight but the video editing system won't load, it's usually fixed with a simple reboot. Unless, of course, your system is incompatible with Silverlight.

Don't hate people for allowing an install that shouldn't be coming as an automatic upgrade in the first place. MS has enough resources and know-how to detect a system and a browser, and if they know that it will be a problem on specific systems and browsers, then they should be responsible and give a better heads-up so that people don't waste their time installing worthless software. As far as reading the specs, stop insisting that everyone behave as you would. Stop berating people.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go give this software a one-star rating for its lack of usability on my system, and you can get over it.
